Stewart Island: Day 5

Friday 11 October 2019

Today we headed home again. We drove back to Queenstown, where we split off to find lunch. Mum and I went to Eriks for Gluten Free fish n chips with deep fried kiwifruit, which was super yummy.

Then we went up the Crown Range Road to look at the view before returning our car to the airport.

I was glad to be home.

Campervan: Day 10, Stewart Island: Day 1

07 October 2019

Today we woke up at the lake and had to pack our bags before we left. We stopped at the giant fruit in Cromwell to grab some morning tea and then drove straight back to Queenstown.

Dad and I returned the campervan while Mum went to get our new rental car.

Then we picked up Marion and Hadyn, and went to the cafe for lunch.

We drove to Invercargill, via a stop at Jacks Point - our favourite playground - and then had dinner.

Campervan: Day 2

Sun 29 Sept 2019

After we woke up and had breakfast, we went over to the bungy centre to see if anyone was going to jump. They were still setting up the ropes and cameras so it was too long to wait for a jumper and so we left.
We drove to Kingston, played in the local playground and then went to the Real Country Farm for a “pet and play” experience. I saw four dogs, eight lambs (including 4-day old Maa-vin), seven sheep, a “cow-sheep”, a deer, two goats, three chickens, two horses, a pony and three pigs. My favourite bits were holding Maa-vin and patting Norm the dog.

We had lunch in the campervan then went to Mossburn for a playground and ice-cream before driving on a dirt road to Mavora Lakes campsite. We parked under the trees with no-one nearby – it was quiet and kind-of nice but a little rainy.

Campervan: Day 1

Sat 28 Sept 2019

Before we got onto the aeroplane, we went to the Koru lounge and I had some sweets and juice for both morning tea and lunch. When we got on the plane, I had a cookie and three airplane lollies.

We arrived in Queenstown and went to pick up the campervan.

I finally got Leo the snow leopard out of the checked bags and into my carseat.

Tonight, we stayed at the carpark at the bungy jump bridge and I slept above the driver’s seat.

August in Queenstown: Day 10

Sunday 25 August 2019

Before we flew home, we visited three bridges in the morning.

First, we walked over the old Lower Shotover bridge and had to avoid some cyclists.

Then we went to the Kawarau Bungy jumping bridge and saw three people jumping off it.

Lucas Place starts right outside our accommodation

The third bridge was the old one-way Remarkables bridge that we walked over too.

August in Queenstown: Day 9

Saturday 24 August 2019

Daddy took the shuttle bus to Cardrona for the day while Mummy and I stayed at home.
We went back to the swimming pool and I only had the black and white ring because the deep end is too deep for me. I went backwards in the lazy river!

We went for a walk towards a hidden lake, but I fell over, so we turned around and went back. Mum treated me to lunch out. After lunch I had a nap.

August in Queenstown: Day 8

Friday 23 August 2019

We drove to Glenorchy and stopped on the way at a rest area. Mum took some lake photos while Daddy and I tried skimming stones.

At Glenorchy we had lunch on the jetty and had a run around.
After that, we went back to Jacks Point playground, where we watched sky divers and their plane come back in to land near by.

In the evening we went up the gondola and had some night luge rides. I liked going fast on the luge with Dad and I loved the pizza slice we had for dinner.
